Fern - Kimberly Queen

The Kimberley queen fern (Nephrolepis obliterata) is a lush evergreen plant characterized by its large, gracefully arching, sword-shaped fronds.  These ferns can be successfully grown outdoors in warm regions, as container plants that are overwintered indoors or as completely indoor plants.  Kimberly Queen Fern, also known as Australian Sword Fern is tougher than other ferns, tolerating heat, high and low humidity, and even full sun as long as it gets plenty of water.  Indoors the Kimberly Queen Fern is a natural air purifier. It filters out many toxins in the air while adding healthy oxygen to your home. It will thrive just about anywhere in your home as long as you take care to avoid drafts. 

Light:

Part sun to full shade. This fern is also known to do well in fun sun, but it requires humidity and more regular waterings. Indoors, place your Queen Fern where it will receive at least a touch of natural light.

Water:

Water whenever the top 1 to 2 inches of soil dry out. This plant requires sufficient moisture to thrive. The soil should never be allowed to dry out completely.
